The most common complaint about freight forwarding is the quotation that grows. A customer accepts a figure for the sea freight, then discovers terminal handling at destination, a documentation fee, a container service charge, a customs entry cost and storage because nobody warned them free time was three days. Our quotations set out every charge we can foresee at both ends, name the ones set locally by terminals and authorities, and state plainly which are estimates.

We file import and export declarations ourselves on HMRC's Customs Declaration Service rather than passing them to a third-party broker. That matters because the person entering the data is the person who has seen your invoice, spoken to you about the commodity and knows what is actually in the container. Classification errors, missing licences and preference claims get spotted at booking rather than at the port.

Every shipment gets a job number and a named specialist. You are not routed through a sales team to an operations team to a documentation team, and you never have to explain your cargo twice. When you call, you speak to somebody who can tell you where your container is without putting you on hold.

Sometimes the honest answer is that air freight costs more than the goods are worth, that a 40ft container cannot physically reach the delivery address, that a vehicle will fail biosecurity inspection in its current state, or that the destination bans imports of that commodity outright. We would rather lose a booking than take money for a movement that was always going to fail.
